J.R. Mitchell Bayard Lancaster Experience - Live at Mac Alester College 72 (Dogtown, 1972).

Fiery Stuff in a classic free jazz vein. It’s pretty impressive to have a live album that misspells the names of both the artist and the venue.

I'll conclude the Blue Note trilogy today.  It's interesting that Sonny acquired the rights to reissue the three albums on his own.  It's pretty uncommon.  I already owned the three albums as a download and this album as a physical release.  However, a few months ago, I found a signed copy of the reissue box on eBay for a silly price (about 9 bucks).

Partly: It's a Lonehill CD (yeah, yeah, I know...) that reissues that album along side "Coup de Graas."

The 6th Sonny Fortune album of the day.  I'll probably listen to the bite-sized (at ~32 minutes) Trip on the Strip for the third time today to conclude today's Fortune spree.  I have 4 more Fortune-led dates that will see some action in the coming days.
