Damn ... I never liked that record that much - and may not have listened ever since I got it in, probably, the early 2000s - but you must really love it.

I bought it maybe 10 years ago and only listened to it a time or two a year until recently when it just hit me.  It has that vibe that works for closing out a night or opening up a day.  It's a bite-sized album at around 40 minutes, which lends itself to repeated listening.  It's understated and subtle.  I may have to start a recommendation thread about it and go into some detail.

Maybe I should listen again, I think I had it when the Turrentine collaborations and Plain Talk were my favorite Smiths, who knows I might enjoy it a bit more now.

Well worn classic that's enjoyable...but the arrangements sound dated to me which I guess is understandable as this is almost 60 years old now. Almost like some of those Sun Ra sci fi tunes but without the cute kitsch.
