jazzbo
Â Thomas Bell and the Contemporary Jazz Quartet "Another Dimension" Atlantic/Warner CD Japan One of the first LPs I ever owned was the mono copy of the original release of this LP. A Peace Corps volunteer my father directed gave this to me, as part of a box of records Atlantic gave to each volunteer, and he didn't like jazz so he gave me three of the records from the box. This was one of them. A part of the start of my jazz journey (my parents had some swing records and some Brubeck and Ellington from the 'fifties). Justin V
It'd been a while since I'd given this one a spin. Talk about a deluxe package! With my recent Duke (and sidemen) marathon, I remembered this. I've organized the sessions together and am now listening to the Duke and Strayhorn tracks after listening to the Coleman Hawkins ones. Some beautiful Harry Carney here. What a player! JSngry
or as it was in the stores when I was buying: pretty much a perfect record, imo.

I bought that as a freshman at Iowa in 1962 and still listen to it. Edited July 12, 2020 by Chuck Nessa to add material.
JSngry
As for that second cover, let us now have a pause and a click to consider one Irving Riggs: https://www.discogs.com/artist/2276999-Irving-Riggs There's a guy with a small but quite distinct legacy! Justin V
With today being Gonsalves's centennial and my current Duke infatuation, Two from Duke was a natural choice.
