Hopefully Raw Materials and Residuals will be delivered before the weekend. I had only ever tried W.S.Q., but that early album's relatively poor recording quality made me give up on the World Saxophone Quartet. Then the Dogon A.D. CD reissue showed me I should have explored Julius Hemphill's discography instead. Quote

Being Tete I am a bit biased... Seriously, it is an ok (but not earthshaking) disc, the only commercial one Tete did with a big band (other than some available recordings with German radio orchestras and the European All Stars concert). The arrangements by Zé Eduardo are good and there is some nice soloing by Tete and two of the major Spanish saxophonists, Eladio Reinón and Perico Sambeat. It should be available at Discmedi website.
