Gheorghe Posted November 5, 2019 Report Posted November 5, 2019 Kai Winding around the time I saw him life. This was done 1977 and I saw him life in September 1978. Such a great trombonist. Here this is a top Album. All tunes are great, I´d like to Mention the fantastic "Epistrophy" and "Surrey with the Fringe on Top". And of Course this. IMHO almost as good as the "Giants of Jazz". jazzbo Posted November 5, 2019 Report Posted November 5, 2019 I have both of those volumes. They're. . . alright. Right now Benjamin Taubkin "Trio + 1" --this has been on repeat for a while. I really like Taubkin, and this has the added value of trumpeter Joatan Nascimento. It was featured for a short spell at less than five dollars Prime on amazon, but is still available for a bit more used. Followed by: "Sounds of Life" Benjamin Taubkin with the duo of Simone Sou and Guilherme Kastrup. More atmospheric world music than jazz but a fun listen. Quote
