Handy" Complete Edition, disc 2 Listening via Oppo PM-1 headphones and my Decware CSP3 preamplifier with 25th Anniversary mods while watching a cold wind blow through the wet autumn leaves on these beautiful trees here. Nice to be warm and dry. Quote

It's a gray market European thing that collects the alternate takes, and has a W.C. Handy interview and a few other performances by Louis of St.Louis Blues. Will be irrelevant as far as the real LP goes when the next Armstrong Mosaic set is released. Quote

mikeweil Posted October 27, 2019 Report Posted October 27, 2019 This CD reissue on él / Cherry Red combines the above LP with Tjader's second Verve LP from the January 1962 Blackhawk recordings. Both bands are in fine form, nice Paul Horn solos on the first. Tjader is in excellent form on the live tracks. Recommended. Quote

duaneiac Posted October 27, 2019 Report Posted October 27, 2019 This is kind of nice in a Latin/lounge/jazz kinda way. Anybody know if this 1966 album ever found its way to a CD release? Quote
