Gheorghe
Elvin Jones, the Version of the Jazz Machine with Carter Jefferson on saxes. A fantastic more then 2 Hours of Music double CD. They really stretch out on this, the longest track "Doll on the Bridge" lasts more than 30 minutes and is particularly interesting. I saw Elvin Jones a few years earlier with another line up, it was with Pat LaBarbera, with a guitar player but as much as I remember without piano...... I love Elvin Jones...... sidewinder
First time I saw Elvin was without piano I think but with guitarist - Japanese I think. La Barbera was on tenor, an incendiary group (and Elvin was on fiery form).

HutchFan
Marty Ehrlich's Traveler's Tales - Malinke's Dance (OmniTone, 2000) with Tony Malaby, Jerome Harris, and Bobby Previte Jazz versions of Bob Dylan songs usually don't appeal to me. That said, this group's take on "Tears of Rage" is gorgeous.
