Scenes [John Stowell, Jeff Johnson, John Bishop] - Along the Way (Origin)

You can tell that these guys have played together for a while. Very tangible feeling of a band, not just three dudes who happen to be making a record.

Ornette! Town Hall (1962)

Two of my favourite Ornette Coleman Albums, I also listened to them recently. I´m not so into string quartets, unused to classical Music, but this piece for strings is very interesting, it Need a Little more close listening than the Kind of Music I´m used to listen to, but it´s fine.

but the bass Player on the cover photo might be Larry Riddle. This is obviously from a later date.

Excellent ....

Oh man, that's so true.  It seems like Konitz made duo records with a hundred different pianists -- but the ones with Martial Solal are extra special.

And a little bit of Solal goes a long way for me (just a combination of his harmonic/rhythmic shape, and it's me, not him). But his ears are unquestionably big, as are Lee's, so they usually end up with a singular, unimpeded/unimpaired mindset, and while improvising at that. It's one of the higher forms of life, I have to think.

LOVE it when that happens.
