Ted O'Reilly Posted May 24, 2019 Report Posted May 24, 2019 Sometimes you just want to swing... I'm still recovering from Ed's passing, but with material like this he'll always be with us. It's nearly 44 years ago this was taped (and I remember being there one of the nights), yet it's still fresh and squeezeably soft and tasty. It has a delightful version of one of my favourite songs, "It Might As Well Be Spring", which it might actually be in Toronto today... Quote

JSngry Posted May 25, 2019 Author Report Posted May 25, 2019 Overall, I like this a lot better than the Jewel/Atlantic stuff put out by Savoy. And this is so much better than the studio records, the band is kicking some serious ass here.. Peter Friedman Posted May 25, 2019 Report Posted May 25, 2019 Not one of my favorite recordings by Tony Coe. A bit too dull for my taste. Quote
ghost of miles Posted May 25, 2019 Report Posted May 25, 2019 Excellent new release by my friend Michael Eaton, featuring Lionel Loueke on many tracks: Quote
