Don’t know if you’re listening to them chronologically but if you are we’re exactly at the same disc 😇 I fully agree with you: worth every cent. Huge diversity between all the discs. Must say that this very one is probably the one I like a little less than the others from the series.

I listened to them in the batches as they were mailed out. . . and I'm now re-listening. I won't say this one is a favorite but it is far from my least favorite so far--the way it is recorded presents a fascinating tableau on my system, I dig it.

Yeah I think I know what you mean. It’s hard to describe but the fact that it’s not all exactly balanced and that church feeling gives you the feeling you’re right there seeing them playing live. The multiple basses on some of the recordings also add up to that particular sound. And it all does sound very clear. Great stuff
