jazzbo Posted Thursday at 11:01 AM Report Posted Thursday at 11:01 AM 500×500 21.4 KB Ike Quebec “Easy Living” Blue Note Japan cd Ike was very important to the Blue Note label. Had he lived longer we would have had more interesting work from him as a leader, sideman and A&R man. . . but then we would have not had the same Duke Pearson albums we did or the same albums he arranged and co-produced. He had such a great sound. Here he has great players with him. Ike Quebec - tenor saxophone Bennie Green - trombone (tracks 1–5) Stanley Turrentine - tenor saxophone (tracks 1–5) Sonny Clark - piano Milt Hinton - bass Art Blakey - drums Quote

rostasi Posted Thursday at 11:50 PM Report Posted Thursday at 11:50 PM (edited) Wonderful album to start off the year. "In the Canopy (Part 1)" will definitely show up on "Random." Makes me long for a "Part 2." Edited Friday at 12:29 AM by rostasi Quote

I had the album but it seems I lost it or had borrowed it to someone and didn´t get it back, I can´t remember what had happened, but I remember the music. As much as I remember, it didn´t reach the same power the live concerts had. Quote
