A warm morning! Snow will be melting. At least the Texan kiddos who arrived yesterday will have another morning of snow fun.

Starting off with
Dave Brubeck Quartet “Concord on a Summer Night” Concord Records cd

Clarinet – Bill Smith
Drums – Randy Jones
Guitar, Bass Trombone, Electric Bass – Chris Brubeck
Piano – Dave Brubeck

Recorded at the Concord Pavilion, on August 8th, 1982

I’m enjoying hearing Bill Smith with Dave Brubeck again, and Chris Brubeck is “on.”

Excellent 👌👍 ....

Terrific music. Really enjoying these records way more than I did nearly 25 years ago, and the actual recording dates are 65 + years old now. Wow.

From 1979, Tokyo,  the great live JB album that still seems to be all but ignored.

They're not breaking new ground, they're just playing the living shit out of the old ground.
