I still have no idea why they neutered the CD cover like that...

Back of the CD seems to indicate this is part of a “Verve Chronicles” series. Was there such a thing, akin to their Take2 line? And if so, were there any other releases? I’ve done some Google searching but haven’t been able to turn up anything yet.

ghost,

IIRC, the Tony Williams release, Spectrum: The Anthology, was also part of that series.

But I'm not familiar with any other "Verve Chronicles" reissues.

Emily Remler “Cookin’ at the Queens: Live in Las Vegas 1984 & 1988” disc 1 of 2

Remler in quartet performances with pianist Cocho Arbe, bassist Carson Smith, and drummer Tom Montgomery (May 28th, 1984) and trio performances with bassist Carson Smith and drummer John Pisci (September 19th, 1988).

My late first wife and I stayed at the Four Queens around 1995 or so. Although I’ve visited the new portions of Las Vegas, the old city area was favored.

Nice sound on this first disc.
