Ike Quebec, Jimmy Hamilton, John Hardee : Swing Hi Swing Lo (LP, Vinyl record album) -- Dusty Groove is Chicago's Online Record Store

This and other Blue Note from the '40s that's now redundant for me that I'm going to send to my brother as soon as I finish writing something about it.

Don't get rid of those LPs until you get the liner essays archived!

Another cool and damp morning. We’re finally getting typical November weather, though I think we’ll have a few warmer and sunnier days starting tomorrow. I love the quiet and peaceful vibe of this time of morning outside.

Started off with a re-spin of some of the Garland at the Prelude disc 1 then saw Ron Carter talking about Stanley Turrentine’s “Sugar” on Facebook and decided to spin this “CITI-RVG” cd version from King Records Japan. What a great session with Freddie Hubbard and George Benson and Ron Carter.

Re-listeing to disc 5 of this new box set. In part because it is one of the parts of this box set I did not have before, and in part because I just don’t want to get to the end of this set so am saving disc 6 for . . . probably tomorrow.

John Hicks Trio “Impressions of Mary Lou” HighNote cd

John Hicks - piano
Dwayne Dolphin - bass
Cecil Brooks III - drums

I love how he sneaks that bass line from “Isn’t it About that Time” into the end of the first track.

This one again. It's really good!

not something I play too often but if I do it remains a wonderful experience. I always put the lights out and close my eyes for 40 minutes. Fascinating soundscape.

Great album

Tomin A Willed and Conscious Balance.  Listened to it twice this morning.  Love International Anthem records...

Me too. I thought his first was very special but this is right up there with it.
