The Hair album was somehow already in the band hall when I started my freshman year, so I came to pretty much know it inside and out whether I want to or not. 😗

My opinion at this late date is that the instrumentals are fine, the vocal numbers are horrid, and that there are waaay too many more vocals than instrumentals.

And yes, Bud Brisbois! Come to think of it, that's why the album had infiltrated our band hall. We had a small but rabid devotees of people who did that type of thing, and was certainly one of the better!

Oddly, or maybe not so oddly? this album isn't in Lord's discography. I was curious who played trombone on the instrumentals. It doesn't sound like Dick Shearer, but I guess it could be.

On a somewhat different note, I'm still exploring the later recordings of this guy

Nubya Garcia “The Source . . . Remixed”

I’m still digesting the original but found this at a great price. Interesting! Will show off your system.

I think I prefer this over the original

Another cool morning after a beautiful warm day. Fiona the dachshund is restless. I’m trying to relax. . . .

Joining in on some “organ jazz” fun with the Blue Note Japan 85th Anniversary UHQCD of Baby Face Willette “Face to Face.” Sounds awesome. The system is just amazing me of late.

Baby Face Willette – organ
Grant Green – guitar
Ben Dixon – drums
Fred Jackson – tenor saxophone
