I enjoy the final one (Togashi and J J Spirits) a lot. It's an all-star lineup of J-jazz veterans playing mostly straight-ahead hard bop standards (and variants). Not innovative or ground-breaking, but high energy and fun. That band has at least one other release, but the one I posted is the only one I could find.

Those Sadao/Charlie albums are really good.

Thank you, I'll see if I can stream it.

Yes, those Sadao/Charlie albums are great

I've never been an avid fan of Tom Harrell, but I happened to stream this new album and it is very good. It has a unique and contemporary flavor that is different from Harrell's previous work. I recommend a listen.

I listened to most of it on youtube just now.  I found it likeable and the sound was very clear - very well produced.  Harrell's solos seemed unfocused and meandering and even at times seemed like noodling to me.  And there was a sameness about everything, the overall sound and texture... all the angles have been smoothed out. Very little tension created and released.  Not enough space.  Well, that's one man's opinion.
