Colón’s first recording with Puente was the giant hit, Dance Mania (1958). . . . In 1971, Colón left Puente's band (on good terms) for a solo career. This 1977 album was a reunion. I remember it because I couldn't afford the Mosaic Capitol set at that time (raising a family!), so this was my substitute. Pre-streaming days.
