👍 - as CD (Baystate ‎– BVCJ-2010) on my shelf. Rec. New York, Nov. 22-23, 1983, released 1991.

Saw them live at Jazz à Vienne, France, July 9, 1982. Line up: Art Farmer (tp), Benny Golson (ts), Curtis Fuller (tb), Mickey Tucker (p), Ray Drummond (b), Albert Heath (dr). On LP/CD Ray Drummond is replaced by Rufus Reid and Albert Heath by Billy Hart.

Allen Lowe & The Constant Sorrow Orchestra “America – The Rough Cut” ESP cd

This has become my favorite Allen Lowe cd. . . so far (he has new ones coming out this summer). Sound is natural and vivid and the music has grit and grins and gristle.

thanks - I want to mention that this was recorded without isolation, basically live in the studio; I've been talking about this idea a lot lately, and our new project is all recorded au natural.

OP is a polarizing figure on this forum, but I enjoy many of his "X with the OP trio" albums, including this one.

Me too.  :)

A very interesting concert featuring the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim. Carlos and Veloso perform together and separately. Jacques Morelenbaum and Eduardo Lages handled the arrangements and orchestration.
