She was born in Mocambique, in Lourenco Marques, a city I know as we would vacation there when we lived in Swaziland. Then as a child moved to Lisbon. I think I was confused because this album was recorded in Brazil and the only other one that I have of hers was arranged and heavily partcipated within by Brazilian master cellist Jacques Morelenbaum.
