... could be my my favorite Drexciya track (it probably is). I remember hearing this on a big system, swept me completely off the map (out of this world), never to be found again !

Bang on !

That break at 3.40 - 4-03 minutes, just sublime.

This is Volume 2, volume 1 being The Definitive Fats Waller, Volume One: His Rhythm, His Piano. Volume 2 is Fats playing solo, whether singing and/or playing piano.  Both are excellent.

... just found a interesting simpel but brilliant 'uplifting unknown electronic track' from Australia. Listen if you like Orbital or Future sound of London. A nice surprice ! See myself driving too a big lake for some sun and fun (and beer of course) !!!

You have to hear that break at 3.25 minutes, it's ... fabulous.

May be the best Concord album I've ever heard start to finish.  Frank Strozier and Conte Candoli shine.

Donald Byrd & Barney Wilen “Jazz In Camera” Sonorama cd

Excellent sound restoration and mastering.

Bass – Doug Watkins
Drums – Al Levitt
Guitar – Jimmy Gourley
Piano – Walter Davis
Tenor Saxophone – Barney Wilen
Trumpet – Donald Byrd

Producer notes:
“Unreleased soundtrack album of an aborted film project, produced July 1958 in Paris. Transferred and mastered from unique transcription discs (acetates), recently discovered in the estate of Barney Wilen as only remaining source. Excellent hard bop and modern jazz session, finally released after more than 50 years with original session photos by the producers.”

Yep and full agreement!

My copy is one of the very early 'Concord Jazz' vinyls - cat# CJ-21 (still with the white label).

Arrangements tailor made for Johnny and he steps up to the plate and knocks them out. Great sound too!
