Yes, he's that but also a fluent, inventive soloist with, of course, chops to burn, though he doesn't flaunt them unduly. Lineup is reedmen Bob Mintzer and Bob Malach, Bill Charlap, Mike Richmond, and Terry Clarke. Quote
