mikeweil Posted September 30, 2021 Report Posted September 30, 2021 Just listening to my own CDR with the three sessions Teddy Charles made with Charlie Mingus. These men were such great ballad players. Quote

jazzbo Posted September 30, 2021 Report Posted September 30, 2021 (edited) I was attempting an experiment yesterday and limiting my laptop usage and didn't chronicle my listening on the forums I haunt. I didn't fall apart or suffer from too many withdrawl symptoms luckily. I listened yesterday to Charlie Parker Savoy sides via Denon 24 bit LP facsimile cds, Stanley Turrentine's "Easy Rider" on Blue Note SHM-CD, and two Mainstream Roy Haynes dates on Solid Records cds from Japan, "Senya" and "Hip Ensemble." Starting today off with Anthony Braxton "Standards (2020) box set, disc 3 Followed by "Svensk Jazzhistoria Vol. 10 - Swedish Jazz 1965 - 1969 - Watch Out!" disc 2 Some great music, in great sound, on this release.
