I'm hoping with the new BAG film out there might be a bit more of a focus on Carroll and... maybe even some reissues...? Quote

I'm finding this one dangerously impossible to take out of the player...perfect "work music", you can drop in at any given point and be rewarded, drop out without feeling punished, and on and on it's gone, all day. Also waiting for the batteries to die on the Discman, so getting that nice fuzzy sound like an old LP played with a bad needle for too long. Ah. memories! Quote
jazzcorner Posted February 10, 2021 Report Posted February 10, 2021 Fanfare... the original version + the Woody Herman version on Fantasy are here. Any other versions known? Quote

HutchFan Posted February 10, 2021 Report Posted February 10, 2021 Brazilian music for me too: Hermeto Pascoal & Grupo - Só Não Toca Quem Não Quer (Only If You Don't Want It, You Can't Do It) (Som Da Gente/Capitol/Intuition) Strange and wonderful. Listening to this, it isn't hard to understand why Hermeto is known as o Bruxo -- the Sorcerer. Quote
gmonahan Posted February 10, 2021 Report Posted February 10, 2021 Finally got hold of this set. Listening to disc 4 now. Quote
