HutchFan Posted January 29, 2021 Report Posted January 29, 2021 (edited) NP: Shabaka & the Ancestors - We Are Sent Here by History (Impulse, 2020)  Earlier: Ryan Cohan - Originations (Origin, 2020) I've only heard a handful of albums released in 2020 -- but I would certainly recommend these two. They're very different, but they're both excellent.   38 minutes ago, ghost of miles said: Always a happy day when a Dusty Groove package arrives... Yes! Especially when the package contains music as good as that Hampton Hawes disc!   Edited January 29, 2021 by HutchFan Quote

Justin V Posted January 30, 2021 Report Posted January 30, 2021 (edited) This has to have some of my favorite Teagarden. The big surprise on this set was Billy Butterfield, who plays some hot trumpet on the sessions with Teagarden. My toddler goes nuts dancing whenever I play it for her.
