Red Allen Plays King Oliver, from the Swing Trumpet Kings compilation: I just purchased the compilation today.  Although I already had the Eldridge tracks from the Mosaic, I wanted to hear this and the Sweets/Clayton album.  It is pretty surprising that the orphaned alternate from the Sweets/Clayton album is still only available from the Verve Elite Edition Collector's Disc compilation.

Another purchase from today.  I've been enjoying Cleanhead on the Cootie Williams sides from the Capitol Mosaic, so this one jumped out at me.

I'm enjoying this for the second time.  Cleanhead and Sweets drew me to this one, with Joe Pass being the clincher.  However, I'm quite enjoying this edition of the Oscar Peterson trio with Dave Young and Martin Drew.
