he was very much a self starter he was very very prolific with releasing his own solo albums thru the 80s, all top fusion albums.

Very sad to see him go.  He was spectacular with Larry Coryell and the Eleventh House in the early-mid '70s.

I'm late in posting this, but I was sorry to hear of Alphonse Mouzon's death.  I had been hoping that his treatments would result in a miracle.  I haven't heard much of his work, but I plan on checking out The Eleventh House.  Thank you for the music, Mr. Mouzon, and rest in peace.
