CJ Shearn Posted December 26, 2016 Report Posted December 26, 2016 Really sucks. I enjoyed interacting with him on FB and I donated for his cancer treatment. Quote
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted December 27, 2016 Report Posted December 27, 2016 he was very much a self starter he was very very prolific with releasing his own solo albums thru the 80s, all top fusion albums. Quote
JohnS Posted December 27, 2016 Report Posted December 27, 2016 Sad news. Not a fan of his funky stuff but he could could certainly play. Quote
Guy Berger Posted December 27, 2016 Report Posted December 27, 2016 Did some great stuff with McCoy Tyner and Weather Report. I heard some of his more fusiony stuff on Pandora and liked it. Guy Quote
rostasi Posted December 27, 2016 Report Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) That Soul video is from almost 45 years ago exactly. Can't believe that much time has passed. Edited December 27, 2016 by rostasi Quote

Utevsky Posted January 25, 2017 Report Posted January 25, 2017 Very sad to see him go. He was spectacular with Larry Coryell and the Eleventh House in the early-mid '70s. Quote
Justin V Posted February 23, 2017 Report Posted February 23, 2017 I'm late in posting this, but I was sorry to hear of Alphonse Mouzon's death. I had been hoping that his treatments would result in a miracle. I haven't heard much of his work, but I plan on checking out The Eleventh House. Thank you for the music, Mr. Mouzon, and rest in peace. Quote
