Last night Blue Lake Public Radio was celebrating the birthday of guitarist Russell Malone in the first part of each hour, 10 p.m. - 3 a.m. with an emphasis on two recent quartet recordings. In addition to his stellar, straight ahead guitar playing on jazz standards and originals, we also heard Malone with Diana Krall, Paul Keller, and Benny Green. thanks lazaro vega for the link. i love Russell malone (i mean his playing) since i´ve first heard him decades ago. after that i´m a "follower".  great musician.
