Lazaro Vega Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 This summer, I kept calling trumpeter Keyon Harrold’s name on the radio, he seemed everywhere: on the Miles Ahead Sound track; on many of those Don Was productions coming out on Blue Note. No idea he recorded with Common, or LL Cool J, or Beyonce. We have his trumpet with the Charles Tolliver Big Band, and saxophonist Billy Harper’s interpretation of John Coltrane’s “Africa,” a version featuring the poetry of Amiri Baraka. Keyon Harrold’s jazz records on the radio, under “Jazz From Blue Lake” here: www.bluelake.org/ondemand Quote
