indeed, hard to make comparisons but both transfers sounded  really vivid.

Voice sounds fantastic, but the instruments still sound muted and thin. Limitations of the recording equipment, unfortunately.

Muted trumpet indeed sounds muted, Earl Hines again defies gravities, Zutty (& Baby Dodds) still more modern than modern.

This won't open in Internet Explorer for me, nor for a friend of mine.  Opens if I use Firefox.  I only have some off-the-rack speakers hooked up to the computer, but these tracks sound very fine to my ears...

This reminds me of older discussions in other threads about "The Okeh Ellington," and our shared desire to see that particular catalog remastered in *much* better sound.
