BERIGAN Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 We had one of our freak late winter storms...no snow on my side(South) of Atlanta... Amazingly windy, which knocked our power out at 10:30 PM. I go to bed much later than that! Couldn't find a flashlight, cuz it was dark and the magnetic flashlight was not on the fridge like it should be! Where are those damn matches, anyway? Found some finally....went to bed, and it started to sleet against my window, then thunder and lightning! temp dropped 10 degrees inside before the power came back on at 3:00. Glad it did come back on then! Atlantians overreact every time there is a threat of a few flurries, and clean the stores out of bread and milk. But this happens because they remember the bad ice storms in the past that have stranded them in their houses for a few days..anyway, anyone have an interesting story about being stranded by the weather, or in a blackout??? BERIGAN Posted February 26, 2004 Author Report Posted February 26, 2004 By interesting, I mean, compared to my story...someone must have a story about being stuck on the 45th floor with a beautiful woman, having to hold each other all night to stay warm.... Anyway, few photos from the great blizzard of 2004! What little there is is sleet, not snow....It looked like a real snowstorm briefly in Gainesville Georgia.... Quote
BERIGAN Posted February 26, 2004 Author Report Posted February 26, 2004 (edited) hope we can dig the car out later today! All schools are closed in ATL! Edited February 26, 2004 by BERIGAN Quote
Jazzmoose Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I was trapped in a convertable with a fifty year old midget with bad breath once, but it was so traumatic, I really don't like to talk about it... Quote

Jazzmoose Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 Well!!!!! That begs the question...what make was the convertable, anyway??? Don't remember. It really sucked, because it took forever for the locksmith to arrive, and on top of that, it was starting to rain and the top was down... Quote
Jazzmoose Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 I had no idea you'd met Weezie! Is that who that was? I had no idea; he just kept babbling on about swapping votes on a rider for TOCJs or something like that... Quote
