That was mostly a reaction based on a small sample size, but as time went on, the fondness only grew. RIP, much love, and can people stop dying for a little while so we can catch our breath? Such a master of colorist, he really brought the Brazilian thing to the fore in Metheny's music that laid the foundation that remains in spurts to this day.
