mandrill
And, just in case, accompanying "music for violin" album recommendation. I made a mistake of selling it some time ago- but thinking about it now, it may contain "the most beautiful sound next to silence". Dr. Eugene Chadbourne has a very entertaining review of it on Allmusic.
six string
I recently acquired Janos Starker's reading of Bach's Solo Cello Suites and that led me to this recomendation since most will already be aware of the Bach recordings. Virtuoso Musoc For Violoncello - Janos Starker and Shigeo Neriki (Denon) playing yhe music of Cassadaó, Schubert and Chopin. I got it feom CDJapan, not sure if it is available elsewhere. WD45
This is a favorite. Bought it for the Ligeti, but it's the Penderecki that blows me away
