I must have about 100 Morricone albums. While this one is not likely to crack my top ten favorite list, it is very effective both within and outside of the film. It is very appropriate that he is being recognized for the kind of edgy film that put him on the map to begin with. His music barely made an impression in the film. My favorite Morricone scores are from edgy films, including the Spaghetti Westerns and Giallos.
