ghost of miles Posted February 22, 2016 Report Posted February 22, 2016 Last week's Night Lights show, devoted to the late 1950s/early 1960s recordings of pianist Freddie Redd, with a heavy emphasis on Blue Note material, is up for online listening: Ready For Freddie Redd Didn't have time to include "San Francisco Suite," but that will be included in another program later this year. ghost of miles Posted May 29, 2017 Author Report Posted May 29, 2017 We're re-airing this show this week, but I'm upping it today in honor of Freddie Redd's 89th birthday: Ready For Freddie Redd Quote

bertrand Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 There are many private recordings of Freddie from the DC/Baltimore years, some with Butch Warren, including a fabulous House Party (check YouTube for video). Wish all this could be out there for all to enjoy in memory of my late friend, but of course things are not that easy. Quote
Enterprise Server Posted March 24, 2021 Report Posted March 24, 2021 (edited) Very nice! I really enjoyed the show. I've been listening to Night Lights for a number of years. Edited March 24, 2021 by Enterprise Server Quote
