Problem accessing forums

After clearing cookies and history on my computer, I now am unable to access any of the forums (although I can get in using my phone).

I get a "parse error." I'm using Firefox and have reset it to accept cookies. 

Any suggestions?

I just rebooted and can get in again. Not sure if the problem was on my end or elsewhere.

Same here several times throughout the day. F5 would do the trick.

I got that a couple of times this morning, but no problem this time.

I checked in early this morning. I think the servers were temporarily down. Nothing wrong with the end-user.

I had the same issue several times this AM as well, but I just refreshed the screen and it came right back up normally. Literally seconds later.

"Parser" has to do with change the "www" address to a regular IP number, basically, correct? If so, that means it could be anywhere along the way on your internetical highways, good luck figuring that out without some traceypingypacketytesty stuff that would have to be done at exactly the right moment.

As it's (at least in my case) only Org that creates this issue (still right now, btw), I have a hard time believing the problem being on the end of the various users experiencing it.

But it's no biggie, refreshing (F5) does the trick.

So, I haven't been able to access the Board for the last couple of days. Has there been a glitch? I haven't had trouble accessing other sites. The withdrawal pains were beginning to get serious!

Must be a regional thing, maybe? We've had 100,000 watt clear channel down here non-stop. It's been like the WLS of jazz bulletin boards.

Have you tried at different times? I know that when I get on here early in the morning (4am CST), sometimes I can only access the main forum board. If I try to get into a thread, or even search unread posts, it can sometimes be a no go.

Speaking of Central Time, I know that it used to be that board backup occurred at 3 AM CST, generally, usually, irrc, etc. and could easily slow access for about an hour. Whether or not that's still the case, I don't know.

After it happened a time or two, or three, that was my guess, Jim. Some kind of housekeeping going on in the background. The only thing keeping me from completely believing that was the fact that some days it's fine, others not so much. But, that's potentially a server issue. Backup might be running faster one day, not so fast the next. 

Either way, it certainly doesn't explain not being able to access the board for days, outside of the off chance that both Greg and Kevin are trying to access it only within that small time frame.

No, I was trying at many different hours of the day. And like I said, other sites were coming up quick. Weird.  Well, I'm glad the problem seems to be solved, whatever it was!

Very odd. I wonder if you had a corrupt cookie, or something like that? Either way, glad the issue seemed to resolve itself.

I've experienced problems accessing the forum at times over the last week or so, especially the last few days.  I get a "couldn't select database" message.  However, if I search for Organissimo and then click on some of the hits, I can sometimes get in.  Anyone else having problems?

Yes, the same problem. If I use a link from my computer, I get that message. If I search for the site and then use the search link, it works.

No problems here, from phone, work, or home. Chrome or Firefox.

Maybe try logging out, clearing cache/cookies, re-accessing the site, and then log back in and set a new bookmark?
