I'm on the fence. Somebody push me! (or direct me to samples) I listened to the Preservation Hall disks at Barnes & Noble last week. I didn't listen to every song but, yes, this music does sound much like that of the New Orleans Jazz box. I can't say it's 100% because I've not yet heard all of the New Orleans box. I was wondering if the Preservation Hall issues have anything to do with the expiration of Mosaic's license of the New Orleans Jazz sessions? Maybe the two have nothing to do with each other? The New Orleans jazz sessions are on Atlantic. I don't know if Atlantic or the parent company have anything in common with the Preservation Hall titles. Edited April 6, 2004 by wesbed Quote

I'd not have purchased the New Orleans Jazz set if it hadn't been for THIS board and THIS thread. I read that several others have made the same purchase as a result of THIS thread. I wonder how many of the New Orleans sets still remain? The number of remaining sets should be gettng quite low, I would think. Quote

Or, don't buy yours till ss1 is able to buy his and maybe give a better conclusion as to the quality of the set. ss1 is just trying to make certain nobody wastes their money on this set till he is able to let them know of his findings.
