Referentzhunter Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 (edited) Like these ouvertures conducted by Horenstein. I am sure i will return to this recording with pleasure. Found a sealed copy but it's a little noisy. On 8/5/2024 at 6:57 PM, soulpope said: Yep .... do prefer the slower tempo of Neumann/CPO giving the music potential to unfold and breath .... Ok, .. I don't have it on cd/lp but listened on youtube. Maybe i will have a better listen one day. Edited August 8, 2024 by Referentzhunter Quote

mikeweil Posted August 9, 2024 Report Posted August 9, 2024 (edited) By far the best recording of violin sonatas from this era on modern instruments I have ever heard. Precision, clarity, and humor, no expressive overload. The Vorisek sonata is an overlooked gem. Reinhard Goebel contributed the excellent liner notes and was consulted by the artists. Highly recommended. Edited August 9, 2024 by mikeweil Quote
