soulpope
Thereof Symphony 7 ..... recorded @ Herkulessaal München on May 25th, 1977 .... Rafael Kubelik`s Dvorak studio recordings (with the BPO on DG) are excellent, but the 70`s "live" recordings with the BRSO (consisting in parts of CPO musicians who fled from their home country in 1968) are more intense and they focus on the dark aspects of Dvorak`s later symphonies .... I'm familiar with Gulda's Beethoven (and I like it very much) -- but I've never heard Richter or Verdenikov play LvB. Do you have any particular "starting point" recommendations for these latter two?
