mikeweil
Over the last few days: all excellent stuff ... This afternoon I topped it with Korneel Bernolet's recording of Balbastre's Premier Livre: I finally gave in and ordered a copy, even though I already have at least half a dozen recordings of this collection, but I don't regret it, it's one of the top three, some pieces he plays better than everybody else. And top sound on a copy of a Hemsch harpsichord. The original is kept in a Boston museum, but it is rarely copied due to its complex construction, which allows many colours other harpsichords do not have, and Bernolet makes great use of them.
