Yep .... had recurringly the chance to witness him practicing in person at that time, as the sessions took place @ the beighbouring flat (owned by another musician) .....

It definitely was .... btw gave a much better understanding how classical musicians practice, how much discipline is requiered and that often the pent up tension/stress is alleviated via exuberance .....

I'm actually making my way, intermittently and somewhat out of order, through all of them now.  I'm still a physical-product guy, so I take 'em one CD (or  CD-set) at a time.  It really is an amazing body of work--for Papa Joe, for the Auryn Quartet, and for Tacet!

I too have become a big fan of the Auryn String Quartet and their Haydn sessions.  They also have some fine recordings of string quartets by other composers.
