mjzee Posted May 1, 2023 Report Share Posted May 1, 2023 Deutsche Grammophon 111 - The Violin, disc 21.  The disc pictured above is not exactly what appears in the box (although the picture does).  Apparently, Menuhin and Kempff recorded much material during this session, and DG originally released it in different configurations.  They probably didn't want to include the Kreutzer here, as it already appears twice in the box, played by Gidon Kremer/Martha Argerich and by Georg Kulenkampff/Wilhelm Kempff (but in 1935!  The pictured session is from 1971).  So the disc in the box contains Violin Sonatas Op. 30 Nos. 1-3.
