HutchFan, I suspect you are referring to Cesar Franck. I do know his piano quintet and like it.

However the string quartets I posted are not by him. They are by a different composer, Eduard Franck which I like quite a bit. I have tended to search out composers from the Romantic and Classical periods that are less known.
