Yeah ... i take it for what it is. Mariss Jansons in full control ... can hear the romantic beauty and melancholy of the Russian soul. Also good warm sound if you crank up the volume.

The Quatuor Mosaiques doens`t deny this music its joyful moments, at the same time manage to handle these quartets like little symphonies ....

For me the Quatuor Mosaiques deliver reference Haydn recordings here .... btw were held in high esteem also by former forum member Paul Secor - miss both his personal views and eclectic musical taste ....
