I love Sibelius recordings by Ashkenazy, Vänskä, Ormandy, and others -- but there's something special about Barbirolli's readings. For me, Barbirolli's Sibelius is like Kubelik's Mahler or Boult's Vaughan Williams. Old standbys for good reason! Quote
