Galuppi was an excellent composer on the level of Vivaldi and others. The bassoon concerto here (transcription of a flute concerto) is a beauty!

Sara Mingardo sings with the timbre of a countertenor, which suits the piece perfectly. You can imagine how a castrato sounded.

ok, one of the fantastic gripping pieces but i my opinion there is way more to discover. Both 4 Impromptus, Rondo D 951, Allegro D 947 (Lebensstürme) and more. The D 960 Sonata is one of my favorites to nevertheless.
