Prompted by Larry's post:

Great music - free and inventive, played wonderfully and recorded just superbly.

There is a little documentary this recording (on the earlier set, to be exact):

:tup I enjoy that cd very much. Thanks for the documentary.

Also prompted by Larry's post to play the Tatrai Qt.

Bartok - String Quartets 4 & 5

Those Arditti folks can keep a listener busy...

I've long thought that someone should offer a box set (or download package) of all the old Arditti recordings on Disques Montaigne. Doesn't look like it'll ever happen. Some of them (e.g. Scelsi on Stradivarius) appear to have been re-issued on other labels.

I'd like for somebody to do something, for sure. A lot of the things I look for appear to be a little (or more) pricey...

Spotify has more than 100 Arditti albums (include a lot of Montaigne stuff). Enough for me, I guess.

I like Spotify, but my habits are not such that I always have access to it when the need for casual background music or random sampling of product strikes. Besides, Arditti is not something I would consider engaging with as casual background music or random sampling anyway. :g
