HutchFan
Beethoven: Sym. No. 9 "Choral"Â - with Kiri Te Kanawa, Julia Hamari, Stuart Burrows, Robert Holl, London Symphony Orchestra & London Symphony Chorus Bought this set to hear Jochum's Bruckner & Brahms, but I've ended up liking it best for his Beethoven. It's a tremendous LvB cycle, and the Ninth is particularly special.

Beautiful sound indeed, but man is Sweelinck boring and predictable. Byrd and Peerson pieces are excellent.
