IIRC, the original Ensayo issue was a 2 lp set and we only issued 1 disc. Thanks. I hadn't noticed before that the 2LP set you mentioned has the complete Op.13, whereas my CD (and others I could locate on the 'net) have only the Minuetto included. There's certainly enough space on the cd. Anyway, gave it a couple of spins this weekend, very enjoyable, spirited performances! Referentzhunter Posted August 22, 2019 Report Posted August 22, 2019 (edited) Sonatas Nos. 3,4,5&6 The spontaneity and fluidity are present in these recordings. I have to compare them more against his second cycle but at the moment i am leaning towards this one. Great stuff. Edited August 22, 2019 by Referentzhunter Quote
JSngry Posted August 22, 2019 Report Posted August 22, 2019 Took a few listens for the Sessions to come together for me, but it got there. The McPhee seems to reveal itself immediately, no idea what the long-range implications of that are. Cool cover, too. Quote
