I enjoyed it! Apart from the Siloti, the arrangements were new to me (Kabalevsky - who knew?!?), and I suppose some inevitably convince more than others. But the playing is great - real clarity! The C Minor Passacaglia, for instance, is really wonderful playing imho.

Franz Schubert Piano Sonatas D 959 & D 960

Prompted by Schubert 960 thread. Good performance, excellent piano and sound. Never liked this work (or Schubert in general) that much though, did not like it today either.

FROM HERE IT CATCHES MY INTEREST COMPLETELY,  BEST CHOPIN INTERPRETER EVER AND THE RECORDINGS ARE ALSO LISTENABLE FROM THIS POINT (1933) BECAUSE OF BETTER RECORDINGTECHNIQUES AND TAPES AVAILABLE.

How about that "decadent Western art" on the cover. I bet the LP jacket was different when Melodiya issued it in the USSR. ;)
