JSngry
Songs! Still! Really! No idea what this is. I mean, I know what it sounds like, and I like it, but I don't know near enough to know what it really is. Sigune von Osten sure has an impressive resume, but her profile on record seems to be scant indded. Why that is, I have no idea. I also don't have enough of a base knowledge to know how well she's interpreting this stuff. Her Cage does compare favorably to Cathy Berberian's, although of course, it's doesn't (it can't) ahve the real-time mindfuck quality that Berberian brought full on. Tell you what, though - if I ser her walking around, I'm a=gonna follow her for a while. Seems like where she goes, things follow.
HutchFan
A very personal reading of Brahms' Third. Lenny seems to caress and linger over every phrase. I suppose you could say that in doing so Bernstein loses the forest for all the trees -- but I love it. It's old-school -- like Lenny's saying, "I know this isn't 'by the book,' but I've earned the right to offer up this music my way."

Referentzhunter
Act 2 Found this for 2 euro, had to try but i lost it. At this moment in time (understanding) this piece is to complex for me. Also: pretentieus, over the top, not to digest, singing is unintelligible. Mannn, i wanted to like this but i didn't. Maybe time will learn. maybe not..... Pretentieus doesn't mean good in any way... Edited March 30, 2019 by Referentzhunter

HutchFan
One might not normally associate the word "beautiful" with Schoenberg's music, but I think his Op.16 is beautiful. 3 hours ago, Peter Friedman said: Piano Sonata D.959 I've been grooving to Radu Lupu's Schubert lately -- but Pollini's is superb as well.
